1. How do I register my pet with the city?

Please bring proof of rabies vaccination and proof that the animal is spayed or neutered to the Animal Shelter at 6436 Sachse Road.

2. How do I adopt a pet?

Please visit Petfinder to find animals available for adoption in Sachse. The adoption fee is $80 and includes spayed/neutered, vaccines, FVRCP (cats) and DHPPS (dogs), and microchip. If the pet arrives at the Shelter already spayed/neutered and is put up for adoption, the fee is $25.

3. How can I volunteer at the animal shelter?

Please fill out a volunteer application with the Human Resources Department to become a volunteer.
