Walmart Supercenter Changes COVID-19 TestingToday, Walmart Supercenter announced COVID-19 testing is coming to the pharmacy drive-thru windows. "We're prioritizing locations based on community demand and where we can make the most impact," said Laurie Smalling Letts, senior director community relations. "Parking lot sites will close to allow for testing to open in locations such as the Walmart Supercenter located at Woodbridge Parkway and SH 78." As Walmart transitions select locations to drive-thru window testing, these sites will be supported by Quest. The change in lab partners means a new online site is available to schedule testing: www.MyQuestCOVIDTest.com. Beginning next week, drive-thru testing is available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Don't forget to schedule your screening in advance and stay safe, Sachse!

#TailWaggingWednesday Debuts on the City's Facebook PageLooking for a new pet? Seeking a great four-legged friend? Don't miss our new weekly feature on the City of Sachse's Facebook page, #TailWaggingWednesday. Cats, dogs and all our adoptable critters who need a home are all likely to be featured here.
This week, meet Niko! Recently made available, this handsome boy is a young Husky. He's very friendly and leash trained. He still needs neutering and his shots, so whoever adopts him needs to bring him back once his surgery is scheduled.
Huskies are super family dogs because they're affectionate and good natured. They get along well with kids, elderly family members, and other dogs (if introduced carefully). Is a Husky for YOU? The perfect fur-ever owner would be someone who loves to spend time outdoors with their dog. Huskies are very active and need something to do. They are the ideal hiking buddy!
Warning: Never leave a Husky unattended outdoors or in a situation where they can get outdoors alone. Huskies are escape artists and runners...just think about Steve McQueen's character in The Great Escape! Huskies are bred to run for miles and miles. Just imagine how far they'll go without pulling a sled behind them.
Adoption fee: $80 Give us a call at 972-675-9662.

Team Up to Fight HungerTeam Up to Fight Hunger is a collaboration of Sachse, Wylie, Murphy and area community partners to provide food to people and families in need while supporting local restaurants. Families receive vouchers after completing a screening process with participating area food banks. Families can then take the vouchers to participating local restaurants, who have curated special menus for the families to choose from when ordering their meals. Each voucher is valued at $40 and provides a meal for a family of four. Families can go online at www.TeamUptoFightHunger.com/vouchers for the latest update about participating restaurants in the area and to check what each restaurant is serving for its customized meal. “The City of Sachse and the Sachse EDC proudly support the Team Up to Fight Hunger program by providing help for local businesses impacted by COVID-19,” said the Director of Sachse Economic Development Corporation Leslyn Blake.
