There's still time for Summer Reading

There are still a few weeks left to participate in the Sachse Public Library's Summer Reading Challenge. Kids, teens, and adults can register online and log their time spent reading between June 6 and August 1 for a chance to win awesome prizes. Complete the Summer Reading Challenge by reading a total of 20 hours between Saturday, June 6 and Saturday, August 1 to earn an entry into one of the prize drawings, including:

Two Amazon Fire 7 Kids Tablets
Mongoose Legion 20" BMX Bike
Phantom 16" Bike with Light-up Frame
Foldable Quadcopter Drone
60" Delta Kite with Accessories

Participants can earn a new entry into the prize drawings for every 20 hours read, up to a total of 10 entries. This year's Summer Reading prizes were donated by the Friends of the Sachse Public Library. Register for the Summer Reading Challenge today and be sure to log all the time you spend reading from June 6 to August 1!

Virtual Story Time Thursday at 12 PM

Join us for a Virtual Story Time each Thursday at 12:00 p.m. on Facebook! Kids will love hearing stories, singing, and signing along.

If you missed last week's Virtual Story Time, don't worry! You can watch all of our Virtual Story Time videos on the Library's Facebook page, as well as crafts, songs, and baby rhymes.

Request Books and DVDs for Curbside Pickup & Home Delivery

Library users can request of up to 20 items online for curbside pickup, and Sachse residents can also have them delivered right to your door!

To request your items, place them on reserve through the Library's online catalog or using the Librista app for Android or iPhone. Once your items are ready, a staff member will contact you by phone or email. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for Library staff to review your request and prepare your items for pickup or delivery. Requests placed over the weekend will be filled the following Tuesday.

Curbside pickup is available Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. When you arrive, please park in one of the designated parking spaces on the west side of the Library and call the phone number listed on the curbside pickup sign. A library staff member will bring the items to your vehicle and place the items in the back seat, trunk, or on the ground next to your vehicle in order to maintain social distancing.
