Library Offers Contact-Free Services

Ready to jump back into the stacks and check out material directly from the Sachse Public Library? If you're jonesin' for the distinctive smell of a book and the crisp feel of pages between your fingers, then good news is here. The Sachse Public Library offers three ways to select up to 20 items - online, by phone or using the Librista app on your smart device. Once you've submitted your selection, we offer two ways to receive your material. It's your choice! Decide between home delivery or curbside pickup. We hope you'll enjoy these temporary services while we make our way toward a safe return to normal.

Check Out Merritt Road, It's
Really Good

Thanks to the partnership between Dallas County and the City of Sachse, the Merritt Road Overlay Project is now complete. This project provides temporary relief for drivers until the comprehensive Merritt Road Reconstruction Project can be finalized in 2022.

We All Count at Census Time

Don't forget to complete your Census online. It's not too late!

If you are filling out the census for your home, then count everyone who is living there as of April 1. This includes anyone - related or unrelated to you - who lives and sleeps at your home most of the time.

Please be sure to count roommates, young children, newborns and anyone who is renting a space in your home. If someone was staying in your home on April 1 and has no usual home elsewhere, you should count them in your response to the
2020 Census.

Please count everyone living in your home. Where there are more people, there are more needs. An accurate count helps secure funding for hospitals, fire departments, schools and roads in Sachse for the next TEN years.

Memorial Day Schedule Modifications for Your Collections

It’s hard to believe Memorial Day weekend is practically right around the corner. For the week of May 25, collection services simply slide over one day. This means no collection on Monday, May 25; however, Monday's collection slides to Tuesday, Tuesday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Thursday, Thursday to Friday and Friday to Saturday. Let's all have a good Memorial Day!
