Merritt Road Overlay Completed

Thanks to the partnership between Dallas County and the City of Sachse, the Merritt Road Overlay Project is now complete. This project provides temporary relief for drivers until the comprehensive Merritt Road Reconstruction Project can be finalized in 2022.

Bulky Waste Collections

Due to stay at home orders, CWD is experiencing a major increase in bulk/brush collections. They’re committed to staying on schedule and completing collections on your designated collection days, but they need your help. Please set out the bulk/brush in need of immediate disposal within the designated limits and, if possible, try to spread large collections out over the next two months. Also, if possible, please try to sanitize any large bulk items as CWD collectors may come into direct contact with these items. Your assistance allows their drivers to stay healthy, stay on time and stay at your curb when you need them the most.

We All Count at Census Time

If you are filling out the census for your home, then count everyone who is living there as of April 1. This includes anyone - related or unrelated to you - who lives and sleeps at your home most of the time.

Please be sure to count roommates, young children, newborns and anyone who is renting a space in your home. If someone was staying in your home on April 1 and has no usual home elsewhere, you should count them in your response to the
2020 Census.

Please count everyone living in your home. Where there are more people, there are more needs. An accurate count helps secure funding for hospitals, fire departments, schools and roads in Sachse for the next TEN years.

The Texas 211 Information Line Provides Current COVID-19 Support

211 Texas activated a COVID-19 option. Specialists across Texas are available 24/7 to answer the most frequently asked, nonmedical, questions based on material provided by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Any questions 211 Specialists can't answer are referred to DSHS and local public health department COVID-19 information lines. For more, visit www.211texas.org.
