December 16 City Council Recap

The City Council met for its regular meeting on Monday, December 16, 2019. The agenda for that evening included a recognition of 5 Loaves Food Pantry, a presentation from JA Biztown representatives, and a discussion about the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP), among several other items on the agenda. Michael J. Felix Community Center Grand Opening Announced

Please join us on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10 a.m. for the Michael J. Felix Grand Opening Ceremony. The event will take place at the new Michael J. Felix Community Center, located at 3815-E Sachse Road, Sachse, Texas. The event will begin with a ceremony at 10 a.m. Tours, refreshments, and demonstrations will follow. While the ceremony, tours, and demonstrations will last until 12 p.m., the Community Center will be open until 4 p.m. if you and your family want to check out the new facilities. Come join us!

Holiday Trash Collection Reminders

Christmas Day falls on a Wednesday this year. As such, regular trash, recycling, and bulk collections will be delayed by one day in observance of the holiday. If your trash, recycling, and bulk are normally collected on a Wednesday, they will be collected on Thursday next week. If your normal collections occur on a Thursday, they will be collected on Friday next week, and so on. If you have any questions about your collections, please call CWD at 972.392.9300.

Christmas Tree Drop-off Scheduled

It is never too early to start planning! Community Waste Disposal will provide dumpsters at Salmon Park from December 26 through January 10 for Sachse residents to discard their Christmas trees for recycling. All ornaments, garlands, etc. must be removed from the trees before being dropped off. The dumpsters for the tree drop-off will be located behind the scoreboard in Salmon Park, 4302 Williford Road.

City Offices Closed December 24 and 25

All City offices and facilities will be closed on December 24 and 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. City offices and facilities will re-open on Thursday, December 26 at 8 a.m.
