State and Local Disaster Declarations

Today, Governor Greg Abbott declared a State of Disaster due to Covid-19. The Governor's declaration follows a separate Dallas County's declaration, which was announced earlier today for all Dallas County cities. The declaration includes every county in Texas. In alignment with Governor Abbott, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, and surrounding communities, Mayor Michael J. Felix issued a Declaration of Local Disaster for Public Health Emergency as well as an Order of the Mayor regarding public gatherings.
