Sachse Christmas Extravaganza


Please join us for the Christmas Extravaganza in the City of Sachse. This event will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. To kick things off the City will be hosting a lighted Christmas Parade in Sachse at 6 PM. During the parade, Miles Road will be closed from Sachse Road to Haverhill Lane for all traffic between 5:50 PM-7 PM. Please find an alternate route during those times. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Spectators will be allowed to sit along Miles Road to view the parade. If you have any questions, you may contact the Parks & Recreation Department at 469-429-0275. 

Following the parade, there will be a Tree Lighting in front of the Michael J. Felix Community Center at 7 PM, followed by activities including:  visits with Santa, a petting zoo, train rides around the complex, a Winter Wonderland Surprise you won't want to miss and much more...

Calling all Elementary Aged Kids! 

 The City of Sachse will be showcasing elementary aged children’s artwork at this year’s Christmas Extravaganza. The City would like to challenge children to create their best piece of artwork using one of four Christmas Prompts.

 Artwork must be made on an 8.5 x 11' paper (regular or cardstock). You may use paint, markers, oil pastels, fabric, or any other material to decorate your art prompt. 

Submissions

  1. Due by Friday, December 1st, at 8:00 AM.
  2. Turn in artwork to the Michael J. Felix Community Center
  3.  Each submission must have the child’s first name and age on the front.
