RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL ALARM
PERMITS
If
you have an alarm system installed in your home or business, you must register with the
Police Department. According to Section 3-21 of the Building
Regulations of the Sachse Code, "a person commits an offense if he
operates or causes to be operated an alarm system without an alarm permit
issued by the Chief of Police or his designee. A separate permit is
required for each type of alarm system at each alarm site."
Anyone found operating an alarm system without a permit "will be given
one written warning, each subsequent violation will be assessed a
$250.00 fee per occurrence."
(A complete copy of Section 3-21 of the Code is available at City Hall.)
A registration fee of $10.00
shall be assessed for a permit or the renewal of a permit. A permit
is valid for a period of two years from the date of issuance. It is
the responsibility of the permit holder to renew the permit prior to
expiration.

BLOCK PARTY APPLICATION
If you or an organization wish to host a block party in your
neighborhood where a street or a potion of a street is barricaded, you
must submit a Block Party Application no more than two weeks and no less
than one week prior to the date of the party. The person
responsible for giving the block party must ensure that if the street to
be blocked contains front-entry garages, all affected neighbors must
give their approval. If the street contains rear-entry garages,
the responsible party must obtain approval from 75% of all affected
neighbors. If you have questions you may contact Lieutenant Marty
Cassidy at 972.495.2271, ext. 203 or
mcassidy@cityofsachse.com.
