Police | Bicycle Registration

The Sachse Police Department has developed a Bicycle Registration Program.  The purpose of the program is for the citizens of Sachse to register their bicycle information into the Sachse Police Department's bicycle database.  This database will assist in locating the owner of a bicycle in the event of a lost, stolen, or recovered bicycle.

Please contact Sachse Police Dispatch at 972-495-2271, option 4 to arrange for an officer to register your bicycle.

Officer Chris Holland directs the young cyclists through the obstacle course, explaining the rules as they go.

SACHSE MOTORCYCLE OFFICER PRESENTS A SPECIAL
PRESCHOOL STORY TIME

Sachse Motorcycle Officer Sergeant Richard Oliver read the book "Oliver" to the preschool story time group at the Library.  It was a great opportunity for the children who wanted to see the motorcycle up close and even have their picture taken with Officer Oliver.

The new black and white Harley-Davidson motorcycles give the motorcycle patrol offices more maneuverability and quick response times when working accidents and performing traffic enforcement.  Officers have the capability to go off-road, on sidewalks, on bike trails and in between cars if necessary.  As well as getting better gas mileage than a police car, the bikes are a great public relations tool.  Police Chief Veach feels the motor unit is a very successful program and a great tool for law enforcement.
