ADOPT-A-SPOT
PROGRAM is a volunteer program
for civic-minded individuals, organizations and businesses who want to
assist the Parks Department in the effort to make Sachse a cleaner, more
beautiful community
by adopting a spot along a roadway or an area in a City park.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE hosts a noon luncheon on the second
Tuesday of each month at Sachse Assembly of God, 2709 Third Street.

SACHSE
FALLFEST ASSOCIATION is a non-profit organization that
sponsors the annual Fallfest Country Fair, an all-day gala event
featuring arts, crafts, games, food, contests and other festivities.
The fair is held every October at Heritage Park, with all
proceeds going back to the community.
Fallfest members vote on where the money will be spent.
Any citizen can become a member.
Dues are $5 per individual, $7.50 per family, or $10 per
business.

SACHSE
HISTORICAL SOCIETY is an organization interested in
preserving and promoting Sachse’s history.
They meet every third Saturday of the month at the Sachse
Museum, 3033 6th Street at
9:30 am.
If you are interested, please feel free to come to a meeting

Also, the Museum will
be open every second and fourth Saturday of the month for tours from
1:00 to 4:00 pm, every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, and/or
any time by appointment. If you or a group are interested in visiting the
Museum, please call and set up a time.
The Historical Society is selling navy
blue afghans depicting the history of Sachse. The afghans are
$49.95 and are available now. These make a beautiful addition to
your Sachse home or a thoughtful gift.
SACHSE
LION'S CLUB meets the third Monday of the month at 6:30 pm
at Steak Kountry, 7010 Highway 78 in Sachse.
The Lion's Club participates in fund raisers throughout the year
that benefit organizations including the Blind Leader Dog program
and Air Challenge, a program that takes disabled children for
airplane rides. They also support the Vision Impaired Olympics
summer camp for kids and assist with building Habitat for Humanity
homes.
SACHSE
PET PALS is an organization of volunteers working with the
City of Sachse to improve the Sachse Animal Shelter,
assist with Adopt-a-Pet programs, offer low-cost shot clinics,
and provide information to citizens
to help them become more responsible pet owners.

TOASTMASTERS meet every Wednesday
at 801A, Suite 204, S.H. 78 in Wylie (the two-story building next
door to the Brookshire's Grocery Store at FM 544 and Highway 78) from 6:30
to 7:30 pm. This chapter serves the Sachse/Wylie/Murphy area. The
mission of a Toastmasters Chapter is to provide a mutually
supportive and positive learning environment in which every member
has the opportunity to develop communication and
leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal
growth.
FRIENDS
OF THE LIBRARY promotes the Sachse Public Library through
fund raising activities and assists in providing volunteers for
general library functions.

MOMS CLUB OF MURPHY/SACHSE,
TEXAS is a non-profit
support group for stay-at-home moms and their children. Activities include monthly meetings
with guest speakers, play groups, park days, MOMS Night Out, field trips
and more fun stuff. They also participate in service projects to
benefit children in the community. They meet the last Wednesday of

CANCER FELLOWSHIP
provides support, encouragement and resources for those who are
currently dealing either directly or

7:00 pm. Join them for a time of fellowship and friendship.
