JOE AND PATRICIA STONE DEDICATE PARK PAVILION

The Parks and Recreation Commission dedicated the Joe and Patricia Stone
Park Pavilion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony during their July 17th
meeting. The Joe and Patricia Stone Park, located on Laurel Crest
Drive in Woodbridge, was developed on land donated to the city by
Mr. Stone and dedicated in 2003. The new pavilion with six picnic tables and two
barbecue grills, is a wonderful addition to the playground area, walking
trail and community pond located in the park. City staff, Council and Parks and Recreation Commission
are very proud of the addition of this structure to the park.
Anyone interested in renting the pavilion may contact the Parks and
Recreation Department at 469-429-0275.

MOTHER / SON ROUNDUP OFFERS A FUN NIGHT OUT

Around 70 moms and sons enjoyed grilled hot dogs, hayrides, games
and dancing recently at the Mother/Son Roundup at Salmon Park.
Park Board Vice-Chairman Scott Whitfield delighted the crowd with songs
on the banjo and each couple received a commemorative photo.
