MISTER JAZZZ THE AMAZING BALLOON MAN


Mister Jazzz amazed and humored everyone with his magic tricks and
his special affects with the balloons, especially when he placed himself
inside the giant balloon.
JUNGLE
JIM AND HIS "BUGS"


Jungle Jim not only brought bugs to the Library, he brought spiders,
centipedes, scorpions, snakes and other creepy, crawlers. This
very informative presentation is one of our favorites and obviously
everyone else's too as the Library was packed wall to wall.

STORYTELLER DAN GIBSON PLAYS FOR THE CROWD


Storyteller Dan Gibson played the banjo, dulcimer and one-string
pickin' bow for the audience while relaying some of his "stories".
Dan also had the crowd signing a story about Cecil.
GARLAND SYMPHONY IS IN THE HOUSE


Staff members from the Garland Symphony Orchestra educated the crowd
with information, demonstrations and some hands-on fun at the
Library's Summer Reading Program June 19th.
SNAKE ENCOUNTERS

These two brave young ladies wore some special accessories during the
Snakes Encounter program.

Approximately 300 people attended the first performance of the 2008
Library Summer Reading Program. Daryl Sprout entertained the crowd
with several species of snakes, a very large lizard, a little bit of
magic,
and a whole lot of valuable information about snakes. This very
informative program is one of our favorites.
TEENS "ROCK OUT" AT THE
ROCK BAND TOURNAMENT

The latest Rock Band Tournament was held March 28th. About 30
teens attended and everyone had a great time. Watch the website
and the Library bulletin board for the next Rock Band Tournament date.

friends from the Delta Society
starting at 6:30 pm

Rosemary, Victoria and Elisabeth enjoyed reading to Edward.
The second Tuesday of each month the
Library presents 'Paws and Read', a program featuring a wonderful
reading partner from The Delta Society. If you have a
child who is reluctant to read or embarrassed to read aloud, come up to
the Library and watch your child come out of that shell when they get
the chance to read to Remmington or Edward. This is a wonderful, fun, and
exciting program for kids of all ages.
