SMALL BUSINESS LIBRARY RECEIVES PROCLAMATION

Mayor Felix presented a Proclamation recognizing the new Sachse Small Business Library  grand opening.  Pat Davis, Library Clerk, accepted the Proclamation presented at the September 2, 2008 City Council meeting.

SMALL BUSINESS LIBRARY OPENED AUGUST 21st

When the Chamber of Commerce moved out of the Red Caboose on Highway 78, some wondered what would become of the empty office space. Dolores Greenwald, Director of Library Services had a plan. With a business grant from the Sachse Economic Development Corporation, the "okay" from the Chamber of Commerce to use the facility, and a lot of hard work from library personnel and the Friends of the Library, the Sachse Small Business Library is now a reality.

Located at 5941 Highway 78, the library provides resources to help business owners with marketing and planning strategies, as well as research on demographics and statistics. The facility will be manned with the help of volunteers and hours of operation have yet to be determined. Watch here for more information as it becomes available.
