Immunization records must be updated each year by the start of school. Vaccinations should be recorded by date, and can be validated with a physicians signature or a public clinic health card. Required immunizations are:
- Chicken Pox (Varicella)
- Diphtheria - Tetanus - Pertussis
- Haemophilus Influenzae Type B (HIB)
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Measles (Red and Ruboela)
- Meningococcal (Menatra, MCV4)
- Pneumococcal (Prevnar, PCV7)
- Rubella (German Measles)
In the past, Sachse relied on Dallas County Health Services for public health care. In fall 2011, Sachse entered an Interlocal Agreement
with the City of Garland Health Department to provide communicable disease investigations and control for all preventable disease and interic illnesses vaccines, including required immunizations for the school children of the two school districts, Garland and Wylie, as long as the students are residents of Sachse.
