Red, White & Blue Blast
What's Happening?
Sachse's 7th Annual Red, White & Blue Blast will be Thursday, July 3rd, at Heritage Park (4408 Hudson Dr., Sachse, TX).  There will be live entertainment, activities, food, vendors, bounce houses, contests, face painting, and of course, fireworks.  Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and bug spray! and join us for an evening of good, old-fashioned family fun.  Read on for more information......

Metroplex United Pipe Band
Pre-Event Entertainment - Metroplex United Pipe Band takes the stage at 5:30 PM.

Metroplex United Pipe Band was founded in 2013. The idea was to create an organization that brought civilian and civil service pipers and drummers together. For the 2014 season, Metroplex United is working at fielding a grade 5 band to compete at events in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association.

Playing an eclectic mix of Americana and blues-rock, Jonathan Fox has constructed a captivating live show that is as unifying as it is entertaining. Playing to a variety of audiences and ages, Jonathan exemplifies relatable songwriting, a diverse stylistic palate, and memorable rhythms. Based in Austin, TX, Fox has played with some of Texas’ most prominent acts including the Randy Rogers Band and the Josh Abbott Band, as well as at venues and festivals across the state.

Daughter Judy Band takes the stage at 8:00 p.m.

This band has a solid reputation as one of the strongest dance bands in the Dallas area.  These band members have the experience and professional attitude that you will definitely feel in their music.  From the hits of today, classics from the Motown era, country, an extensive collection of disco and, of course, swing music, their chemistry on stage and harmonies make this group a top-notch band.

Transportation
Stepping Stones Learning Center of Sachse
Thanks so very much to Stepping Stones Learning Center of Sachse for providing the shuttle vans for this event.  Stepping Stones and Mr. Bobby Tillman have provided the transportation vans and buses every year for this event.  Shuttle vans will run from Sachse High School to Heritage Park starting at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 10:30 p.m.

End of event shuttles will be reserved for individuals needing special assistance.

Parade
The 11th Annual Independence Day Parade will begin at Sachse City Hall, 3815 Sachse Road, proceed south on Miles Road, and end at Heritage Park, 4408 Hudson Drive.  The parade route is approximately one mile and will take about 20-25 minutes to cover.  Prizes will be awarded for best entry.  Line-up begins at 5:00 p.m. and the parade starts at 6:00 p.m. Parade winners will be announced on stage at Heritage Park at 6:45 p.m.
