Help us build a better world by helping our neighbors! Our goal is to collect 5,000 items in 40 days for 5 Loaves Food Pantry. Please bring your donations to the Sachse Public Library from May 1st to June 10th. We will use the items donated to create a Texas sized structure to be unveiled at Summer Reading Kick-off, June 10th at 10:00 a.m.

We will put your name into a drawing for a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card, and as an add bonus, we will remove up to $5.00 in fines for each donated item. No fines, no problem. We will register a credit, up to $25.00, towards potential future fines. For a full list of items we are collecting, please see our flyer for more details.

The library is pleased to announce that we are able to accept Credit & Debit Cards. This is in addition to cash and check.

May 27th-29th: The Library will be closed for the Memorial Day Holiday.

May 31st: No Story Time. Story Time will resume June 14th at 10:30 a.m.

June 1st: No Story Time.

June 10th at 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Summer Reading Kick-Off. Register for Summer Reading (Kids, Teens, & Adults). There will be face painting, bounce house, train rides, Fire truck, police car, and recycle truck. This program is free and open to all! This will be an indoor and outdoor program. Bring a box of Mac & Cheese that you can add to our Texas sized can and box structure.

Summer Reading

Summer Reading Video

Summer Reading is fast approaching! This summer we are challenging children, teens, and adults to read 20 hours in 6 weeks. All those who complete the challenge will receive coupons from various businesses and their name put in a drawing for cool prizes. Sign up at our awesome kick-off party on June 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or any time after to participate in the challenge. Everyone is invited to our programs whether you are tracking your reading or not!

Library Materials
Materials, with the exception of DVD's, checkout for three weeks and may be renewed twice if there is not a hold on the item.  DVD's checkout for seven days and may be renewed twice with the exception of our brand new DVD's which may not be renewed. If you have questions, staff is happy to assist you. Thank you for using your library.  

1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Parents, pick up a log at the library to track the number of books you read to your baby or preschooler and the children get prizes after each 100 books. Getting to 1000 is easier than you think!

Now available for your smart phone, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten App! Available in the App Store for iphone & Google Play. You can keep track and manage your child's reading log by scanning the book"s barcode into the app.
