2010 WELLNESS PROGRAM KICKS OFF


HR Director Cheree Bontrager introduced the 2010 Wellness Program.  Brinson Benefits and the guest speaker helped us all learn about the importance of antioxidants.
 

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

In addition to full-time and part-time employment with the City of Sachse, the city offers volunteer opportunities.  The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Animal Shelter assistance, Library programs and services, and assistance at Parks Department activities such as the fishing derby, pumpkin prowl, and Easter egg scramble are just a few examples of possible volunteer opportunities.  If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents, please click here for more information.  All volunteers will be required to fill out a Volunteer Agreement Form and will be subject to a background check.  Click here to print out the Volunteer Agreement Form.  If you choose to participate as a volunteer, your time and services are greatly appreciated by staff and City Council. 
 

EMPLOYEES EARN RECOGNITION FOR PERFECT PARTICIPATION IN CITY'S WELLNESS PROGRAM

 
City Manager Allen Barnes presented Michael Spencer and June Danker with Certificates of Achievement for their perfect participation in the city's Wellness Program for fiscal year 2008-2009.  They are an inspiration to all employees.  Keep up the "wellness" work!

EMPLOYEES LEARN CPR AS PART OF HEALTH AND WELLNESS

 
All city employees will be trained in CPR and the use of AEDs in case of a health emergency.  The HR Department works with the Fire Department and EMS Lieutenant to make sure training is completed and employees are certified.
