The City Council approved Resolution No. 1718 on March 6, 2000 authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Wilbur Smith Associates to develop a Comprehensive Plan, updating Sachse’s previous plan that was adopted in October 1986.  The steering committee was formed and met for the first time on April 6, 2000.  The final draft of the plan was approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission on August 18, 2001 and presented to City Council on October 15, 2001.  City Council unanimously adopted the Plan by Resolution No. 1891.  All sections of the plan are saved in Adobe PDF format.  If you need to download a free reader, click here.
