Per City of Sachse Code of Ordinances - Chapter 3, Building Regulations, Section 3-9. Fences, Item H. Inspection and Maintenance:

    It shall be unlawful to maintain a fence in such manner to allow the following:

• Any fence to lean and become unstable, or to cause damage to other property.
• Fences to be aided in support by anything other than the fence post.
• Missing or loose pickets, broken or missing parts, decayed members.
• Exceptions:  The following exceptions shall be allowed: 
  ~ Temporary construction fences;
  ~ Fences less than three feet, six inches in height;
  ~ Fences in agricultural zones;
  ~ Livestock fencing.

A permit is NOT required for fence repairs.
