FIRE DEPARTMENT'S HAPPY ENDINGS

 
In a profession that can take its toll on the emotions of the employees, Fire Rescue Specialists certainly enjoy celebrating the happy endings.  This young man visited the firemen and paramedics at Sachse's Fire Station No. 2 who saved his life following his near-fatal drowning.  Who knows, perhaps he will grow up to follow in the footsteps of those that provided him a second chance.

In a very similar incident approximately one year later, this sweet young lady was rescued and resuscitated following a drowning accident as well.  After several weeks in the hospital, she made a full recovery.

PLEASE TAKE MEASURES TO PREVENT THIS TRAGEDY

Sachse Fire Rescue would like to remind everyone to make sure your smoke detectors work.  A devastating fire like this one could take more than the house; it could take a life.  Smoke detectors that work and an exit plan should be an important part of your home.
