Elected in November 2007 to serve the unexpired term in
place four, Councilman Adams ran unopposed in the May 2008, May 2011, and May 2014 Elections. Councilman Adams was recently re-elected in May 2017. Councilman Adams has served as Mayor Pro Tem on two different occasions. He was serving in his second term on the City's Parks
and Recreation Commission prior to his election. Councilman Adams served as the
Council's liaison to the Planning & Zoning Commission from 2008 to 2017, has served on the
Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, and is the Sachse representative
to the Regional Transportation Council. He has also served as the co-liaison to the North Texas
Tollway Authority. He has completed the U.S. Department of Homeland Security IS-317 CERT Program, the FEMA IS-100 Incident Command System Program, the FEMA IS-700 National Incident Command System (NIMS) Program, and he is a
graduate of the Sachse Police Department's Citizen's Police Academy. He is currently serving on the Armstrong Elementary and Sachse High School Campus Improvements Teams for the 2017-2018 school year. Mr. Adams was in the specialty packaging
sales field. He is now happily retired. He and his wife have lived in Sachse since 2003.
