Court dates can be
scheduled in person at the Municipal Court, by mail, or by fax. If
you choose to request a court date, you must do so within 10 calendar
days of the date of the citation. A mailed or faxed request must
include the following: name (both in print and signature), mailing
address, ticket number, and statement requesting a court date.
Court dates are not scheduled by phone. HOURS OF OPERATION Sachse's Municipal Court is available for court business Monday through Friday (except holidays) 8:00 am until 5:00 pm at the Sachse Municipal Building, 5560 Highway 78. If, however, you choose to appear before the Judge, you will be given a date to appear according to the court dates listed below. The Municipal or Juvenile Court will open at 5:30 pm at the Sachse Municipal Building in the Council Chambers, 5560 Highway 78. Proper attire is required in the courtroom:
● No hats, caps, bandanas, etc. The court reserves the right to refuse to hear any case from those who fail to abide by the dress code. All cell phones and pagers must be turned OFF while court is in session.
If you have a special need that requires special arrangements or require a translator when you appear before the Judge, please contact the court 48 business hours prior to the scheduled court date. Please
refer to the schedule of fines shown on the attached link to determine
the total amount of fine(s) and costs acceptable by the court.
Make your remittance by personal check, cashier's check, or money order
payable to the City of Sachse. Other payment options
include making a payment online, where we accept ONLY Visa or
Mastercard. All juveniles (16 years of age or under) will be mailed a court date to the address listed on the citation. All tobacco and alcohol-related offenses will be scheduled for court regardless of age. If you fail to appear as stated, a notice will be sent to the Texas Department of Public Safety to suspend your Driver's License or to prohibit you from obtaining a Driver's License. PLEASE NOTE: Failure to contact the court on or before 10 calendar days from the date of your citation will result in an ARREST WARRANT being issued against you for each charge you do not resolve. (Remember, a phone call is NOT sufficient means of contacting the court. You must contact the court in person, by mail, or by fax.) If you have been charged with a violation that is not listed, please call the Court Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at 972-495-1212, ext. 27 or 32. Court dates are NOT set by phone. The fine amount will increase by $50.00, not exceeding the maximum amount allowed by State law, if you do not appear within 10 calendar days from the date of the offense.
