STATUS OF THE BOND PROJECTS

We will keep everyone posted of bond proposition progress here on the website and in the city's newsletter. 

PROPOSITION 1 - ROADWAY AND TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS

Bunker Hill Road - In design phase.  City of Sachse is currently acquiring right-of-way.  The estimated start date for construction is during third quarter 2010.  The estimated completion date is in fourth quarter 2011.  

Dewitt Road (North of Ingram, from Ingram to Ranch Road):  This project is currently under construction.  The estimated completion date is in April 2010.  

Dewitt Road / 5th Street (South of Ingram, from Ingram to Highway 78):  This project is currently under construction.  The estimated completion date is in August 2010.

Murphy Road:  Under construction.  The estimated completion date is in May 2010. 

PROPOSITION 2 - UPDATES TO SALMON PARK

In the process of completing the floodway analysis.  Construction is anticipated to start in March 2010.  The estimated completion is late summer 2010.

PROPOSITIONS 3 THRU 6 - MUNICIPAL COMPLEX CAMPUS

Fire Station No. 1 is currently under construction.  The estimated completion date is May 2010.  (Click here to read about the new fire engine.)

Public Safety Building is currently under construction.  The estimated completion date is during summer 2010. 

City Hall is currently under construction.  The estimated completion date is late summer 2010.

The Library renovations are almost complete except for the roof.  The estimated completion date is late spring 2010.

The Senior Center construction will begin during the summer 2010.  The estimated completion date is in late fall 2010.

The amphitheater construction is expected to begin in late fall 2010.  Its anticipated completion is in fourth quarter 2010.

NON-BOND PROJECTS

Highway 78 widening project is currently under construction.  The estimated completion date for the section located in Sachse is late summer 2010. 
This project is under the direction of the Texas Department of Transportation.  Any questions, concerns, or complaints should be directed to the TxDOT office at 214.320.6240. 

The Highway 78 and 5th Street intersection is currently awaiting utility relocation.  Construction on the railroad tracks is estimated to begin late spring 2010.  The road construction is estimated to begin in late summer 2010.

The dates shown above are the best estimates as of January 2010.  Many factors such as weather and materials supply could impact the dates shown.
