Per City of Sachse Code of Ordinances - Chapter 11, Zoning, Article 3, Section 2. R Single-Family Dwelling Districts:

Accessory Buildings:

• Fill out building permit application.
• Present plot or site plan indicating where building will be placed on property in relationship to property lines and other structures.  Provide two copies of scaled or dimension plans.

An accessory building under 120 square feet does not require a permit, however, it cannot encroach within three feet (3') of the property line.

Provide the valuation of materials only.  This includes the building, foundation and any flatwork, if applicable.

The fee for an accessory building is based on the value of all construction related materials.  An additional fee is required for electrical, mechanical or plumbing work.
