The
Planning and Zoning Commission was established to promote public
health, safety, morals or general welfare and to protect and
preserve places and areas of historical, cultural or architectural
significance. This
Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on issues of
zoning, platting, land use, thoroughfares and other related matters.
Planning and Zoning Commission:
¨ Meets 2nd and 4th Mondays
of the month at 7:00 pm
at City Hall
¨ Seven members
- members may serve three two-year terms
¨ Assists with development and implementation of city’s master plan
¨ Reviews development proposals, rezoning cases, subdivision plats,
replats and site plans
¨ Updates and revises land use assumptions
An agenda of their meeting is posted
at City Hall and on this website seventy-two
(72) hours prior to the meeting.

Mayor Felix administered the Oath of Office to Steve Curtis at the
October 5th Council meeting. Mr. Curtis will serve the
unexpired term vacated by Jared Patterson when he was elected to
City Council.
MAYOR FELIX ADMINISTERS OATH OF OFFICE TO WARREN BECKER, NEWEST
PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEMBER

Mayor Felix administered the Oath of Office to Warren Becker at the
March 16th Council meeting. Mr. Becker had previously served
on the Zoning Board of Adjustments before applying for the P&Z
position.

Mayor Felix administered the Oath of Office to Planning & Zoning Commission members
(from left to right) John D. Zukosky (reappointed), David Hock
(reappointed) and new member Jared Patterson at the City
Council's November 17, 2007 meeting. Currently, Mr. Hock is
the only serving member from this group.
