The
Planning and Zoning Commission was established to promote public
health, safety, morals or general welfare and to protect and
preserve places and areas of historical, cultural or architectural
significance. This
Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on issues of
zoning, platting, land use, thoroughfares and other related matters.
The City Council appoints seven members to this commission.
Members may serve three two-year terms and terms are
staggered. The Commission meets on the second and fourth Mondays of
each month at 7:00 pm. An
agenda of their meetings is posted at City Hall seventy-two (72)
hours before meeting time.

NEW P&Z MEMBER ROBERT CORBIN COMPLETES OATH OF OFFICE

Mayor Mike Felix administered the Oath of Office
to newly appointed P&Z member Robert Corbin at the May 19th City
Council meeting.
