The Library Board was established to act as an advisory board to the City Council in matters concerning the establishment and use of the city library, the manner in which the library service may be coordinated with services of other libraries and other related matters.  This Board meets monthly on the second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Sachse Library.  There are seven members of the Board serving two-year terms and appointed by the City Council.  An agenda is posted at City Hall seventy-two (72) hours before each meeting.

HONOREE RECOGNIZED AT APPRECIATION DINNER


Former Library Board member Debby Keenan was recognized for her time and service at the recent Boards & Commissions Appreciation Dinner held at Woodbridge in January.  Debby served on the Board from 2005 - 2007.  Mayor Felix presented her with a Certificate of Appreciation and joined Council and staff in thanking Debby for her dedication and commitment to the City of Sachse.
 

NEW LIBRARY BOARD MEMBERS TAKE OATH OF OFFICE


At the December 3, 2007 City Council meeting, Mayor Felix administered the Oath of Office to (from left to right) Judith Lensch, Robert Rodgers and Michelle Carter.  They will serve a two-year term on the Library Board.
