Mayor Felix presented outgoing members with Certificates of Appreciation
for their volunteer service to the city at the Boards and Commissions
Appreciation Dinner. Pictured left to right, Paige Cox, who served
on the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee 2002 - 2007; Mayor Felix; David
Lay, who served on the Planning and Zoning Commission 2005 - 2007; and

honored but not able to attend the dinner include Tammy Sigman, Zoning
Board of Adjustment 2002 - 2007; and Ben Crane, Zoning Board of

in offering many thanks to those who volunteer.

board or commission must be a resident of Sachse.
Selection
Process
Anyone wishing to serve, including current
members must submit an application during the month of September.
Appointments will be made by the City Council in
November for two-year

whereby one-half of the membership is appointed each year.
It is imperative that members maintain regular attendance at
meetings. Any member who will
not be in attendance must notify the chairman of his/her absence prior to
the meeting. Three of five
absences, or absences from four consecutive meetings may result in
notification to the City Council of the absences.
All applicants will be notified of appointment by mail.
Applicants who were not appointed will be reconsidered as vacancies
occur. Applications will be
