The
communications officers perform a critically important service. These
men and women receive all routine and emergency telephone and radio traffic
for police, fire and emergency medical services, as well as all radio
traffic for public works.
They
answer after hours calls to City Hall, and they attend to all walk in
traffic at the police department. They also provide all information
needed by officers regarding stolen cars, driver license and registration
information.
REVERSE 9-1-1 NOTIFICATION SYSTEM ACTIVATED

The Sachse Police Department is
pleased to announce the activation of its Reverse 9-1-1 Notification
System. In the event of a city-wide emergency, the police department
now has the capability of contacting the entire city one residence
at a time. The system also allows staff to target a specific sector
of the city. By entering parameters, the system allows the police
department to make emergency notifications of crime alerts, missing
children, vandalism, etc., to a targeted area of the city. The
system operates from the 9-1-1 database, which is accessed through
actual addresses throughout the city.
If a resident does not have a land line phone but would like to
be included in the Reverse 9-1-1 notification database, they should
contact Lieutenant Marty Cassidy at 972.495.2271, ext. 204.
Lt. Cassidy will take your information for the addition of a cell
phone number to the database.
