The qualified voters of the city elect the Sachse City Council which is composed of seven members: six Councilmembers (Places 1 through 6) and the Mayor. Councilmembers are elected at-large, representing the entire city, and serve three-year terms. No person shall serve more than three consecutive terms in a given position. The uniform Election Day for the City of Sachse is the first Saturday in May.
