Summer Reading Kickoff Party

Join the Sachse Public Library on Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for their Summer Reading Kickoff Party!  They will have inflatables, outdoor games, a petting zoo, and more! 

This is the first opportunity for kids, teens, and adults to sign up for and get started on the 10-Hour Summer Reading Challenge.

Most of the activities are outside, so please bring water and sunscreen

Citizen's Police Academy 2023

Do you have an interest in learning more about the inner workings of the Sachse Police Department? Well, here is your chance!

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a CITIZEN'S POLICE ACADEMY starting on August 15, 2023.

2023 Summer Reading Program

We are so excited to share this year’s Summer Reading Program info! 

Here's a preview of all the fun events the Sachse Public Library has scheduled this summer! Stay tuned for more information about special events and weekly programs, including crafts, story times, and movies.

Registration for the Summer Reading challenge will open on June 3. Visit www.cityofsachse/beanstack.org to register and begin tracking your reading time! Every 10 hours earns one entry into our awesome prize giveaways, and each participate can submit up to 10 entries from June 3 through July 29.

Keyboarding Summer Camps

Learn to play the piano, read notes, count rhythms, and write music as you compose your own song. Have fun while learning by playing musical "Go Fish" and "Music Bingo."

There will be a recital at the end of camp for family to see what has been learned!

Students must provide their own set of headphones.

As a reminder, some residences may see a change in their bulk/brush collection schedule. Direct notification was sent to those affected (a specific area in Woodbridge West), so if you have not been contacted, your route has not changed.

Discover Your Bulk & Brush Collection Day

The City has new times to set out your bulk trash and brush collection. Bulk trash needs to be placed out no earlier than 48 hours prior to your scheduled collection day. What about brush? It goes out on the Saturday prior to your collection day.

Please Note: no more than 6 cubic yards of brush/bulk are allowed to be out on the curb at one time.
