Police Department Memorial Service

On Monday, May 15, at 4:00 p.m. the Sachse Police Department will be conducting a flag-lowering ceremony at the front steps of the Public Safety Building to honor those officers lost in the line of duty during 2022.

We invite the public to attend this brief but meaningful ceremony as part of your police department’s commemoration of National Police Week.

Heartsaver Hero Awards

On December 21, 2022, Sachse Fire-Rescue responded to a chest pain incident. While transporting the patient to the hospital, he experienced sudden cardiac arrest. Recognizing the situation, the crew on Ambulance 1 began high-performance cardiopulmonary resuscitation (HPCPR), protected the patient's airway, provided defibrillation, and placed him on the Lucas Device.  At the hospital, the patient was placed on ECMO and moved to the Cath Lab. All of these actions contributed to Mr. Jerry Moon's survival. He was released home and ultimately went back to work three months later.

It was a great moment to present Heartsaver Hero Awards to Firefighter/Paramedic Colton Haynes and Firefighter/EMT Jonathan Lee for their contributions to saving Mr. Moon's life.  We have an amazing team at Sachse Fire - Rescue!

2022 Resident Survey Results

The City of Sachse conducted a citywide resident survey through Polco, a survey company affiliated with the National Research Center and endorsed by both the National League of Cities and the International City/County Management Association. The results of that survey are now posted on our website. Go check them out!  

Lady Raiders Soccer Team

Mayor Bickerstaff presented a proclamation to the Lady Raiders soccer team at Wylie East High School for reaching the 2023 UIL State Tournament. Way to go ladies!

Discover Your Bulk & Brush Collection Day

The City has new times to set out your bulk trash and brush collection. Bulk trash needs to be placed out no earlier than 48 hours prior to your scheduled collection day. What about brush? It goes out on the Saturday prior to your collection day.

Please Note: no more than 6 cubic yards of brush/bulk are allowed to be out on the curb at one time.
