2022 UIL State Marching Band Contest

At this week's Council meeting, Mayor Bickerstaff recognized the Wylie and Wylie East High School bands for advancing to the 2022 UIL State Marching Band Contest!

2023 Daddy/Daughter Dance

Ok girls, it's time to put on your dancin' shoes and get ready for a night of fun with your dad! There will be dancing, games, contests, prizes, snacks, a photo booth, and more. 

This event is a great way for young women to strengthen their relationships with their fathers. It's $15 per duo, $5 for each additional daughter. Register before it's sold out!

Able Mindset at the Sachse Public Library

Starting this Saturday, January 21, the Sachse Public Library is collaborating with Able Mindset, a Sachse non-profit group focused on empowering persons living with disabilities, to host a creative arts program for students with disabilities. To register, visit www.cityofsachse.com/ablemindset.

Councilmember Matt Prestenberg would like to remind everyone that there are plenty of available cats and dogs at the Sachse Animal Shelter right now! He adopted this sweet 12-year old cat this passed weekend to add to his family.

As a reminder, some residences may see a change in their bulk/brush collection schedule. Direct notification was sent to those affected (a specific area in Woodbridge West), so if you have not been contacted, your route has not changed.

Discover Your Bulk & Brush Collection Day

The City has new times to set out your bulk trash and brush collection. Bulk trash needs to be placed out no earlier than 48 hours prior to your scheduled collection day. What about brush? It goes out on the Saturday prior to your collection day.

Please Note: no more than 6 cubic yards of brush/bulk are allowed to be out on the curb at one time.
