2021 Christmas Extravaganza

Mark your calendars for the 2021 Sachse Christmas Extravaganza! This event will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. To kick things off the City will be hosting a lighted Christmas Parade starting at 6 p.m.

Following the parade, there will be a Tree Lighting in front of City Hall at 7 p.m., followed by activities including: Visits with Santa, snacks, storytime, a petting zoo, train rides around the complex, and a Winter Wonderland Surprise you won't want to miss.

HeartSaver Awards

At this past Monday's City Council meeting, AHA HeartSaver Awards were awarded to, Matthew Still (Victim’s Son), Cheri Still (Victim’s Wife), Lt. Steven Doerr (Police), Lorraine Massey (Dispatcher), Lt. Kenneth Messick (Fire-Rescue), Jody Krizan (Fire-Rescue), Austin Fullen (Fire-Rescue), Alek Matson (Fire-Rescue), Lee Goodwin (Fire-Rescue), and David Garrett (Fire-Rescue), for their role in the survival of Mr. John Still during a sudden cardiac event. His survival is attributed to early recognition, bystander CPR, early Defibrillation, ACLS care, Cath lab, and Cardiac Rehab.

Sachse Historical Society Honoring Veterans

Join the Sachse Historical Society TOMORROW, November 6, for a ceremony to honor Veterans, starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Sachse Historical Society Museum (3033 Sixth Street). This event is free and open to the public.

City Council Meeting

The Sachse City Council will meet Monday, November 15. The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the regular meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

Discover Your Bulk & Brush Collection Day

The City has new times to set out your bulk trash and brush collection. Bulk trash needs to be placed out no earlier than 48 hours prior to your scheduled collection day. What about brush? It goes out on the Saturday prior to your collection day.

Please Note: no more than 6 cubic yards of brush/bulk are allowed to be out on the curb at one time.

Sachse's Chart For COVID-19 Info

Sachse maintains a list of active/recovered patients on its COVID-19 webpage. The chart includes the number of active cases, where the cases are located by county, the gender of the patients, status of the patients
(e.g., hospitalized, self-quarantined) and the number of recovered cases.
