Temporary Changes to Library Hours & Services: November 8-13, 2021

We’re very excited to announce that the Sachse Public Library is getting brand new carpet! Earlier this year, the Library experienced some water damage as the result of a burst pipe during the February 2021 winter storm, and we are thrilled to be able to replace the carpet in most of our building with an updated, colorful, and welcoming pattern. However, in order to facilitate the carpet replacement, Library hours and some of our services will be limited during the week of November 8 through November 13.
 
The Library will be closed to the public on Monday, November 8 and Tuesday, November 9, and all in-person and curbside Library services will be unavailable during this time. Our digital collections from CloudLibrary and Hoopla will still be available while the Library is closed. The Library will remain closed to the public Wednesday, November 10 through Saturday, November 13, however, curbside services will be available Wednesday through Friday from 3-6 p.m. and Saturday from 1-4 p.m. All Library items due during the week of November 8-13 will be extended until the following week, so it will not be necessary to return any items to the Library during this time.
 
To check-out items using curbside pickup, please reserve your items online first using the Library catalog. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours for staff to retrieve your items. A Library staff member will contact you when the items are ready for pick-up. Once you have been contacted, please park in one of the marked parking spaces on the west side of the Library, near the book return box, and call the number listed on the curbside pickup sign. As a result of the carpet replacement process, some Library materials may be unavailable for checkout, and curbside services may experience delays. The Library is planning to re-open and resume all in-person services beginning Monday, November 15. We appreciate your patience during this time as we complete this messy, but much-needed carpet replacement process. We look forward to welcoming you back into the Library once the process is completed, and we can’t wait to show of our new carpet!
