Meet The New Program Manager For The Laurie Schwenk Senior Activity Center The City of Sachse welcomes Robin G. Woodward, the new Program Manager of the Laurie Schwenk Senior Activity Center! Robin comes to us from Royse City, Texas where she was the Royse City Senior Center Manager for the past five years and served as a medical office practice manager in Rowlett before that. Robin moved to Texas from Colorado Springs, Colorado where she served the community as an office manager for a women’s clinic, and as the principal owner and manager of Colorado Springs Midwifery Center. With over 20 years’ experience in diverse settings as a director, manager, and servant leader, we are excited that she is joining our team here at the City of Sachse. We can't wait for Robin to start in July. Make sure you stop by and say hello!

Red, White, And Blue Blast Is Next WeekendWe're almost a week away from Sachse's Annual Red, White & Blue Blast! This year's event will be held on Saturday, July 3rd, at Heritage Park (4408 Hudson Dr., Sachse, TX), starting at 6 PM. There will be live entertainment by the Party Machine Band, food trucks, yard games, and of course, fireworks. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and bug spray! Sachse High School Senior Awarded 2021 City Of Sachse ScholarshipCongratulations to Alicia Pfeifer, the recipient of the 2021 City of Sachse Scholarship! Alicia graduated from Sachse High School and plans to attend Texas A&M University-Commerce, majoring in Marketing & Communications. We can not wait to see what the future has in store for her. Remembering Retired Chief Of Police, Dennis Veach With great sadness, the Sachse Police Department announced the passing of retired Chief of Police, Dennis Veach. Chief Veach honorably and faithfully served the citizens of Sachse as Chief from December 2007 until his retirement in February 2015. Chief Veach’s law enforcement career spanned forty-two years including service with the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Columbia, Missouri Police Department, and as Chief of the Carthage, Missouri Police Department from 1998 to 2007. Services for Chief Veach were held this past Monday, June 21. Our condolences go out to his close friends and family during this difficult time.

Discover Your Bulk & Brush Collection DayThe City has new times to set out your bulk trash and brush collection. Bulk trash needs to be placed out no earlier than 48 hours prior to your scheduled collection day. What about brush? It goes out on the Saturday prior to your collection day.

The chart includes the number of active cases, where the cases are located by county, the gender of the patients, status of the patients (e.g., hospitalized, self-quarantined) and the number of recovered cases.
