City Hall closed to public

City Hall Temporarily Closed
to Public

With the start of school, City Hall is closing temporarily to the public. This protects residents and staff from further spread of the COVID-19 virus. All City services are still available, but residents and customers should call ahead to make an appointment for in-person services. Please complete transactions online, whenever possible.

The Michael J. Felix Community Center and the Sachse Public Library remain open, but are closely monitored for social distancing, wearing masks and limiting the number of people in the facilities. Thank you for your flexibility as we continue to serve Sachse residents.

Good News, Sachse!
We've Changed the Set Out Time For Bulk & Brush

Have you heard the news? Beginning January 2021, bulk trash needs to be placed out no earlier than 48 hours prior to your scheduled collection day. What about brush? It goes out on the Saturday prior to your collection day.

Not sure about your collection day? Check the interactive map on our bulk trash webpage: www.cityofsachse.com/bulktrash. You'll find information about what is considered bulk trash and the items included in brush.

Road Closure

Detour Ahead!

The Sachse Road Project is well underway and changes in normal traffic flow are expected to continue. Watch out for the following closure and realignment:

• The southbound lane of Fifth Street is closed.
• Westbound traffic on Sachse Road needs to turn
   north (right) onto Fifth Street.
• The left turn lane from SH 78 is closed to prevent traffic turning south
   onto Fifth Street.

These changes may cause delays in the area, so please plan accordingly. We appreciate your patience as we continue work on this important project.
A short growing pain for a tremendous community gain.

Team Up to Fight Hunger

Team Up to Fight Hunger

Team Up to Fight Hunger is a collaboration of Sachse, Wylie, Murphy and area community partners to provide food to people and families in need while supporting local restaurants.

Families receive vouchers after completing a screening process with participating area food banks. Families can then take the vouchers to participating local restaurants, who have curated special menus for the families to choose from when ordering their meals. Each voucher is valued at $40 and provides a meal for a family of four. Families can go online at www.TeamUptoFightHunger.com/vouchers for the latest update about participating restaurants in the area and to check what each restaurant is serving for its customized meal.

“The City of Sachse and the Sachse EDC proudly support the Team Up to Fight Hunger program by providing help for local businesses impacted by COVID-19,” said the Director of Sachse Economic Development Corporation Leslyn Blake.
