The City of Sachse has already installed nearly 600 newwater meters throughout the City as a part of our project to modernize thetechnology of our domestic water system. The project is now moving intothe second phase, whereby the rest of the meters in the City will be replacedwith new water meters. The new water meters will provide more detailedinformation regarding the water system and its usage after full conversion –allowing residents and City staff access to more complete information regardingwater use.
For Phase 2, Professional Meters, Incorporated (PMI) will becompleting the swap of approximately 7,000 water meters in the City, completingthe upgrade of the entire system. You may see PMI staff changing out yourwater meter over the next 3-4 months. PMI will be completing their workneighborhood-by-neighborhood. During this time, access to water will onlybe interrupted for a few minutes at each home. If the City and/or PMIfind that more extensive work is required, they will coordinate with theindividual property owner. PMI will be scheduling meter change out timeswith businesses on an individual basis, to ensure that water service is notinterrupted during high-use periods.
PMI will be replacing water meters Saturday March 7th on the following streets: Heritage Park, Hudson Court, Martha Avenue, and Melinda Circle. PMI is currently placing door tag on doors that will have their meters replaced on Saturday
Thank you for your patience as we complete this important projectfor our citizens!
