Drug Take-Back Program

September 29, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ 3815 Sachse Road, Building B

The Sachse Police Department teams up with the Drug Enforcement Agency for a drug takeback program on Saturday, September 29th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Sachse City Hall. No questions asked, residents may place prescription and over-the-counter medications into a collection box. Sachse PD will take the boxes to the DEA office and they are then disposed of properly. This keeps the drugs out of the hands of kids, out of the trash where animals can get them, and out of the water system if they are flushed. This national "take-back day" provides a unified opportunity for the public to surrender expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to law enforcement officers for destruction. This one-day effort will bring national focus to the issue of pharmaceutical controlled substance abuse and provides a safe collection site for anyone wanting to dispose of these drugs in a safe manner.
