The City of Sachse is offering an interactive online reporting tool that allows citizens to explore the City of Sachse’s financial data online in various graphical formats. The Financial Transparency Portal, powered by OpenGov, improves the overall financial transparency allowing users to view the data at the highest level or drill down to detailed expenses/revenues.  Users can also download the data into an Excel spreadsheet.

Tax Rate

The current 2023 property tax rate is $.650416 in Dallas County and Collin Rate per $100 valuation. The sales tax rate is 8.25% with the City retaining 2.00%.  Visit Tax Information for more information on tax rates and the breakdown of how they are used.

House Bill 3693 Compliance Report

The City of Sachse purchases natural gas from Atmos Energy; electricity from Gexa Energy and Farmer's Electric Cooperative; and water from Sachse Utilities. The following information is being posted in compliance with the requirements of HB 3693 (Government Code § 22643.001(b)).

  1. The total metered amount of electricity, natural gas and water used by the City.
  2. The total amount paid for electricity, natural gas and water.

Municipal Advisor Certificate

The City has an Independent Registered Municipal Advisor in compliance with the SEC Municipal Advisor Rule.

Unclaimed Property

The City of Sachse holds various types of property (valued at $10 - $100) which were unclaimed and presumed abandoned and are subject to Title VI. Chapter 76 of the Texas Property Code. In accordance with the State Law, any amount over $100 is sent to the State Comptroller where it is held until claimed.
